The Island is gorgeous. Situated just a short boat ride from Sitka proper, you have everything you could possibly need. Spectacular views! Sea life! And the tremendous hospitality of Sara and Cole who provide a welcome and cheerful home away from home. I love the place. Highly recommend it anyone.
Bumble Expeditions is truly a once in a lifetime experience. This is a fantastic tour that is full of splendid views of Sitka Sound’s spectacular nature and wildlife. Sarah and Cole are amazing hosts sharing their love and knowledge of the area. This is not a corporate tour with a cookie cutter experience. Sarah & Cole will listen to your individual interests and make sure you have a memorable experience.
Cole and Sara are so much fun to go out on the water with. They are careful and safe and know what they are doing. Getting out on the water is really the best way to see Sitka and the area. The wildlife if so awesome and so much fun to see. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to experience Sitka this way.
Our family stayed here and we had a blast! Sara and Cole are amazing hosts and the island is beautiful. The fishing is great in the area as well. Tons of wildlife and gorgeous sites to see. I highly recommend visiting!

From a dream sparked by a leap of faith to Alaska, driven by our desire for adventure, we (Cole and Sara) have nurtured Bumble Expeditions into the unique travel company we are today. As newlyweds at the time, our journey began with a shared passion for exploration and discovery.
Our tours offer unique glimpses into the wilderness and Alaska landscape, crafted for small groups who are seeking authentic encounters with the diverse wildlife and stunning landscape. We honor the land and its original stewards. The Tlingit people have been indigenous to this land for over 10,000 years. Gunalcheesh to the Tlingit people for their stewardship of Tlingit Aani since time immemorial and today. Bumble Expeditions LLC acknowledges that we live, work, and play on Tlingit Aani.

Sitka Sightseeing Van or Truck Tours
Our fully guided Sitka Sightseeing Tours offer comprehensive experiences, including transportation from the cruise terminal or your accommodation. We specialize in small group tours, accommodating 4-7 guests per vehicle with an intimate feel. Choose between an eco-friendly Hybrid minivan for groups or enjoy the private, elevated view in our lifted Toyota Tundra. We use our intimate knowledge of the landscape to create the best tour for you, your group, and the season we are in.
This can include stops at the Fortress of the Bear, Silver Bay scenic overlook, a salmon run, hiking along our favorite berry trails: Starrigavin Estuary Trail, Herring Cove Trail, Mosquito Cove Trail, or Indian River Trail, the Thimbleberry waterfall hike, Whale Park, Silver Bay Scenic Turnout, and Halibut Point State Rec Site - ending in the center of downtown near the State Historical Park. Here you can venture out on your own to do some shopping, visit St Michael’s Cathedral, the Sheldon Jackson Museum, the Russian Bishop’s house, or enjoy a stroll along the sea walk.
